Well it's finally official, Ibanez has asked all distributors to place its feelings about the current crap counterfeits on Ebay to be placed on their websites. Ours downunder was up yesterday for Aussie Ibanezer's to view. I am still on a personal mission to eradicate this crap and I am fully aware that it will be a on going battle, but damm it ..ya Ol' Cappy's going to win the war if its the last thing I do ! What is more encouraging is that the Australian Music Association is right behind ya Ol' Cappy and his campain, they have had meetings last week with Ebay Australia and these meetings proved positive for those "other brands" that are being ripped off by this factory in China. So fear not Ibanezer's, my blast ray is set to disinegrate for these S.O.B's but those who are reselling this misfortunes on Ebay had also better beware on the fact that you are just as liable as the people who are creating these counterfeits by saying that they are Ibanez replicas.....get over it ...you got bitten in the wallet trying scam your self a bargain...well who's the lardhead now hmmmm ! Your legal process awaits you...be afraid...very afraid This is Captain Ibanez watching you all |

Could this possibly be one of those scams? It seems somewhat odd: http://cgi.ebay.com/Ibanez-RG1570-Mirage-Red-Prestige-Made-in-Japan-NR_W0QQitemZ 7420256294QQihZ016QQcategoryZ33043QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem How could someone sell a brand new RG1570 with a starting bid of $2.00??! Also, the shipping charge is $35 on the item description, and $40 on the search screen. Is this some sort of Ebay tactic to get more money from an item, or a scam? Seems pretty suspicious to me. |

I don't think that auction is a scam, it looks like an authentic Ibanez Prestige 1570. The reason the shipping charges vary is because of the $5.00 required for insurance (35 + 5=40). Also, I applaud this auction for starting the bidding at 2 dollars. Because the guitar is in demand, and there are several days left in the auction, it will go for true market value. Competing bidders will set the final price of the auction. I get a little annoyed by auctions that start the bidding at the price they are asking for the item. Somehow they think that constitutes a 'no reserve' auction listing. Look here for the 411 on the counterfeits. http://www.ibanezcollectors.com/discus/messages/14/13175.html?1148500574 -Brent |

Ah, so it IS some kind of tactic on Ebay. I guess I don't really deal with that site too often, so it just seemed kind of odd to me. Thanks! |

Is this a new scam or just one I haven't seen before: http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D160017852195 |
