Cappy, I bought my AR500 new in 1982 for $625 at Pallings Music, and my Ragtime R400 for $279 new. Flash a bit of cash, there's always a discount. Although I ordered it in 83, when it came it was an 81 model (i.e. 81 serial). Must have been in shipping and storage for some time.
