Aside from a few top of the line models, a lot of those prices are pretty close to today's values.

Guys the prices are Aussie dollars.

I will scan the catalogue when I get some time to shrink it to fit here.

Even though these are the catalogue prices, like all marketing, didn't really reflect the shop prices.
Cappy, I bought my AR500 new in 1982 for $625 at Pallings Music, and my Ragtime R400 for $279 new.
Flash a bit of cash, there's always a discount.

Snowjays, I bought my AR300CS for $550 in 83 from Turramurra Music store in Sydney. I still have it. Although I ordered it in 83, when it came it was an 81 model (i.e. 81 serial). Must have been in shipping and storage for some time.
