Captain, Bought a used 1981 AS-50. When I went to change out the (supposed) Gibson PAF humbuckers for my new Seymour Duncan Phat Cats (P90s), I discovered that the volume pots were stamped "15K" on the back! Is it possible that this is the impedance of the pots I've been using in this axe? I've been a bit disappointed with the guitar, but it's pretty decent. What would be the impact of having a 15K pot? Since it seems likely I need to change them, shoud I go to 250's for the single coil Phat Cats? Thanks, John. |
