Received a call this afternoon from Cameron to inform me that my 2675s have been shipped back to him. I will be re-united with these beauties soon. It is always nice to hear from Cameron as he has always been such a wonderful guy and most helpful in all respects. He has also informed me of some developments on his side and will announce it here shortly. Allow me to the first here to wish Cameron "THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING AND ALL THE VERY BEST TO YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVORS" Regards, Meranti |

Meranti: Well, it sounds like congratulations are certainly in order. First, for getting your beautiful 2675s back in restored condition. Please let us see lots of pictures of these babies. Second, it sounds like something good (but mysterious) is happening for the Captain. Will we have to call him Admiral? |

Johns, first of all let me say that in fact I have Meranti's Custom Agents in my possesion. They are simply stunning...once he puts the scracth plates back on them. I know this has been a very long project to get to this level of perfection, but when I opened up those cases on Friday just gone...ya Ol cappy had a tear in his eyes. I want to personally thank right here on ICW...Craig Upfold and warren of the Guitar Hospital/Upfold guitars for their dedication, time and effort to restoring these 2 beat up collectable icons of the Ibanez proffesional Series range to just the way the boys in Japan back in the 70's lovingly shipped them out. I have taken pictures of them in the lounge room, but I need to get them shrunk down to under 100mb porn level for our site...this will happen tomorrow. So stay tuned for the finished results. As I have said before..one of the hardest things to try and do from "Downunder is getting the right tortishell material for the headstocks. It took Craig around 9 months to find the right supplier to get the right material after many failed attempts, so after such a big learning curve for us all...happy days are here again for those who wish to breathe new life into their beloved collectables. So for those of you ICW fans down under who want to rejuvinate their collectables then contact my good mate Craig Upfold The Guitar Hospital / Upfold Guitars 48 South Tacoma Road South Tacoma NSW 2259 Ph:02 4352 1359 or from overseas..61-2-4352 1359 Thanks again to my good mates Craig and Warren for all their time and patients with suppliers for producing such a fine job..well done guys Captain Ibanez |
