Hey Captain, Any Idea on the market value of a 2671 with block inlay instead of the vine? I have the opportunity to pick one up that looks to be in pretty good shape but don't know the fair market value. The guy selling it doesn't know much about the guitar and really has no idea what to ask for it. Are these rare? I really haven't seen any in my travels around the net. The only time I even saw a mention was on this board in the "Vintage and Custom Electrics" section under "Definately not a Scruggs - but What?" Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Jeff |

G'day, Jeff,I checked the thread you mentioned and Harold was correct with his info. Now because it doesn't have all the fancy stuff, and of course depending on what condition it's in , I'd say between 1500 to 2000 aussie would be top dollars for it without looking at it. This is once again of spot production techniques in play...to make a model a bit cheaper whilst still using top quality timbers in the guitar. Like what they did with the Bob Weir model...remember the the dark stained dot neck model etc. Captain Ibanez |
