I was fortunate enough to purchase an Ibanez Roadstar 2 RS1300MS (Marine Sunburst) many moons ago (about 15 years). I read in a post on this site that only 6 were made. Indeed, I haven't seen another guitar quite like the one I have among the may Roadstar 2s I've viewed on the Web. Is this true? If so, then given its rarity, any estimates on how much it is worth? Thanks. |

Just got this RS1300 recently. Does anyone know the total production of the RS1300 model? The pups have been changed to DiMarzios and I have to say the tremelo unit is not the best part of the guitar. Regards, Meranti |

Yes, I do, but not here at the office. I'll post 'em tonight. I can confirm only 6 RS1300MS built (unless the Captain has evidence to the contrary). The ProRock'R trem seems to get a lot of thumbs-down votes. Cheers Steve |

Thanks Steve, Mine is an '84 model. As to the trem, I can only describe it as a damping machine. I love the stuff Ibanez puts out but this is definitely not one of them. Another frustration is getting spares for the older Ibanez. I am sure many of you would agree? Regards, Meranti |

Mr Roadstar, let's the Captain's log show that it was a 20th century reference knows as a "tag team effort" was used to disfuse a potentially volitile situation in the 21st century....now helmsman warp 5 ..........engage.. BTW, please don't feel that the Captain treats his collum, like a Trekkie's episode.....sometimes, it just feel appropriate with the "elders" of this page, and trust me taxdodger's you are a part of some of the finest minds on the planet when it comes to your Q & A concerning Ibanez products, there are somethings that not even Captain Ibanez can do all by his self from time to time. This is why I personally appreciate help from my fellow members of the "Temple of Hoons" and you all know who you are. Captain Ibanez |
