Hi Captain, I purchased the RG570gn (I think?) which I spoke to you on the phone about the other day. I was wondering if you could confirm that it is a 570 from the serial number: F9921743. Furthermore, Guitar Crazy at Coogee are advertising an RG570 on their website for $1895, in as new condition. The picture shows a guitar which looks identical to mine, which I paid $375 for, also in as new condition. Is theirs ridiculously overpriced, was mine ridiculously underpriced, or is it a bit of both? Here's a link to the ad on the Guitar Crazy site: http://www.guitarcrazy.com.au/IbaRGRG570.htm Thanks for the help Cheers Pete |

Hi Pete, good to yak to you on the phone last week. The RG was buitl in Feb. 1999 and was the 1743 built for that month. As I said, you have a great nose for sniffing out the bargains that are out there. Keep Up the good work Captain Ibanez |

Hi Captain, still on the subject of the RG570, were these made in Korea as well as Japan (in 1999)? I probably asked you over the phone, but that was a week ago and a strain on my memory. It's just that I've told a few people about my purchase, and a few have said all RG5xx series were made in Japan. And did they all have the 3 piece neck (darkwood - bubinga? - in the middle)? I suppose my ultimate question is were all RG570s in 1999 one and the same or were there high and low-end models released? Cheers Pete |
