Hi Captain,

sometime ago I purchased this '79 Musician: It basically looks like a MC300 with a 6-way rotary switch, a common feature of the MC300 since October '79. The difference between the standard model and the LE are the additional PreAmp and the construction that is similar to the MC5??, i.e. it has a maple core.

There were some discussions about it on this Board, bot no one had more infos about them, like production numbers etc...

Could you help out?

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Juergen

Juergen?! Dann kann ich ja auf deutsch antworten...aber damit andere auch was davon haben:
I once owned one of those. I did not like it too much and sold it pretty cheap because nobody really wanted it. So maybe your guitar is "mine". Where did you buy it?
sorry, can«t help with any infos on this guitar...

Hi Matthias,

first of all thanks for bumping up this thread so I don't have to do it myself

I found the guitar on Ebay Germany but can't remember the seller's (member) name. I still love my Musicians although I'm more focussed on the Artist series these days.

I wonder if Cameron could shed some light on these... hey Captain, are you aboard?

there was no eBay way back then when I sold it for about 500,- German Marks...:-(
I still can remember that it was extremely well crafted. It really felt good, the drawback was, it sounded...well, not bad, but "indifferent", the thing had no balls, so to speak. I spent 1200,- for it, must have been 1979/80. I was at school at that time, where the hell did I get this lotta money from ;-/
