I'd like the old AR-300 reissued (Super 58's w/ trisound switches) in a lighter weight guitar similar to the newer AR2000/AR3000 models. Just for fun, offer a version with vines too. Thanks, Michael |

Bring back the SF470 and I'll sell all my Roadstars... I'm serious! Things to ponder: A 25.5 scale neck would be okay this time around. Chrome hardware would be a cool option especially with a Northern Blue or Jewel Blue finish. Color matched headstocks are ALWAYS welcome. Don't change the Viper neck profile. Keep the V1/S2/V2 pickups. |

Steve, They have the SC series, which is very similar to the SF. It is a Sabre body complete with a 25.1" scale, thicker neck and a fixed wraparound bridge. There are even some Prestige models. -Sven |

Not even close. Wrong headstock, wrong neck, wierd control mounting, and different pickup arrangement. I prefer the Gibralter II bridge and QuickChange II tailpiece over the Shortstop II. I'm not a fan of the 25.1" scale. The harmonic content isn't as smooth as a 24.75" or as sweet as a 25.5". There's nothing about a Prestige neck that I can't do myself in about an hour. It's not worth the extra $$$ to me. The original SF470, as produced, is just about perfect in my book. Damn, I wish I hadn't sold mine... Grrr... |

I don't know the model number... it is the ES-175 style hollowbody but with the AR300 inlays and Artist headstock, antique violing finish, pearloid tuning pegs, nice tailpiece. That would be cool. Otherwise Custom Agent. |

I would like to see Ibanez issue the following guitars: _re-issue Artist 2617 blond finish and Super 70 or Super 58 pickups _re-issue FA800 with solid carved spruce top, Natural & Sunburst finishes _GB200 with a single pickup in the neck position only! _re-issue JOE PASS "JP20" model with a single pickup in the "CORRECT" neck position-(Pickup located closer to the end of the fingerboard) BLUES |

Captain, you're going to end up with more requests than you could ever bring up in a meeting. Based on what the majority of ICW participants have lusted over in the past, I think we can summarize what people want. In general, people desire reissues of the high-end models with construction comparable to how they were originally built. This would include the Artist line, Professional line, Musician line, Full and Semi hollow electrics, and signature models. If Ibanez were to pick one or two from each line and reproduce them like the originals, I think it would satisfy 95% of the Ibanez lovers. I'm sure there will be people who disagree with this generalization. |

How about an AM model? The Artcore AMs seem to sell the day they get them at my stores. It sure would be nice to see the AM200, or even an AM50 re-issued stateside. -Sven |

Ok kids, came down. Tomorrow I will put forward you wishes to the gang, however certain things I can do today...mirecals take a little longer. Joe Pass : sorry I don't think so, good call but to many hassles as far as royalties go there. Steve, yes I agree, it has potenical but it wasn't a real big seller...maybe a spot production perhaps for mid year release ? AR5000....Cappy says...bring it ON ! FA series...buy a AF85VLS, put flat wounds on it and set the action at 2mm all the way across..problem solved, or if the wallet is fat enough buy a Artcore United model and do the same as I said before at least they come with flat wounds from the factory and are assembled and finished in Japan...next ! Rocket Roll...hmmm good call, but bring back the flame maple top on in Cherry Sunburst...gold hardware and big inlays or blue New Zealand Pau shell tree of life inlay. What about a Captain Ibanez re-issue Artist LOL Still, I am pushing for a AR3000 with 2 tri-sounds and NZ Blue Pau shell tree of life inlay for 2006 and perhaps with some different colours in the finish...cherry sunburst and a little bit darker Transparent Turqoise finish...mmmmm Well, I'll let you all know some cryptic info over the weekend so you can start stashing your cash. Oh for your Musician series freaks..I'll ask...but I don't like the results here, but you never know ! Keep On Rockin' Captain Ibanez |

Blue Burst would be very nice. Nice flame tops as well! Take a little revenue back from PRS. Also, the 80s smooth heel neck joint on these as well. |

know im a bit late to the party, but how about the ar300 re-issue with a choice of finishes (especially black, not the graphite like stuff/shit on the ar200), and with the neck heel from the ar3000vv re-issue? i just think that the ar300 re-issue is a great guitar for the price, but limited in options unlike the $1000 (aus) guitars from other manufacturers (ie - maton using one shape with options for everyones taste). also ibanez have relesed the ar300 and ar250 for 2 consecutive years with the same sunburst top! ive been waiting to buy a re-issue to gig with (less sentimental value, and more replacable than my ole ar350, so hopefully they can put a few options on the artist for next years range? well atleast there getting better in 2004, or should i say more like the old models!!! cheers |
