I'm hoping the captain or another connected individual can help me here. I have an '03 S1520 equipped with a ZR trem, and the threaded sleeve, which the arm goes into, has broken in half right where it passes through the bridge plate. This part is not listed in the parts list or diagram for the ZR. Is there any way to order this part, and avoid paying for a new trem assembly?

Thanks very much

-Sven

Sven, the trem arm for the ZR Trem is part number is 2ZR21N. I have them instock ...they retail for 19.95. The only wierd thing I have heard of lately with this trem is a customer rang me yesterday saying he broke the trem arm holder..the threaded bit where the chrome sleve goes over the top....he straight away admitted to his own boofernerism...as Bevis & Butthead say...your such a dumbass !

But do we need to make this stronger..personally I dont think so..the casting is strong, but seems to fail under stupidity :-(

Captain,

I think we may have crossed signals here. It is not the trem arm I need. It IS the trem arm holder that I need. It broke, just like your customer's did. Please look at the picture. It did not break because of any "stupidity" on my part. I was lightly using the trem while playing (no dive-bombing) and the piece just snapped in half, with very little force. It is this piece that I need. I doubt it is warranted at this point, but I would suspect that perhaps this part does indeed need to be examined if you are getting reports of failure after such a short period of time.

I am lead to believe by your second post that the trem arm supplied with this guitar was designed for a LoPro, not a ZR. Can you confirm?

Thanks

Sven, yes the arm is for a LO-Pro Edge.

After looking at the picture again. That part is not sold as a seprate item from Ibanez. I will send them this picture and ask if they have had any similar problems with this arm holder. So far this would only be the second one to break, that Im aware of since the trem was introduced 2 years ago.

I will keep you all advised on this matter.

Any luck on getting this part? I'd like to get this puppy up and running again.

Thanks

Funkle, the trem arm holders part number is 2ZR29 and I will have some instock soon very soon, but it looks like that the rest of the gang won't have any until after June 2005, I have had a couple break since the ZR trem was introduced in 2003, but the 3 parts lower that were not originally listed on the parts page have now been included thanks to yours truly....2ZR29..is the thread part..2zr210 is the nut that holds the arm holder in place the bottom part is either 2ZR12 or 13, will check it at the office and I will post the diagram here when I send it to my home email.

Thanks!

They don't call you the Captain for nuttin!

Should I try to order one up through a local shop, or can you ship one to me? It would be just the threaded part I would need - 2ZR29 I guess.
