Hi Jim can you shed some light on these guitars that are hanging in the conference room at Hoshino? And are there anymore vintage guitars "hanging" around there somewhere else? I was dissapointed at the collection they had because there were no twin necks.
And also do you recall if that blue iceman was painted a few times or not? It looked to me as if it were.

Actually We desided to start to try to get some Ibanez guitars together, Actually upstairs on the Deck behind the Photo room is the rest of the collection. We rotated them from Time to time, Also many of the guitars were sent to the Cleaveland On stage resturant.
Roy the president at the time asked me to find some guitars for The room. The First guitar was the scruggs $400.00 Bill Cummiskey who is now at Fender found that one.
The Jem #1 was stolen by the cleaning guy and we got it back off some one on stage playing. That is why it has some flaws.
The Iceman I bought at GC in Cherry Hill that is a stock IC50 It was available in Blue and Black. That I saw for $149.00 so I grabbed it.
The Benson is stock, The EB bass I bought alomng with teh Flying V bass from a guy at Newark airport for $800.00. Roy Donated his old Tama made ibanez bass to the room.
Just when we started to collect them teh prices shot up so we were only looking for good condition ones.
The Jem10th was one we grabbed from Stock, Also I kept the JS2K #1 and also somewhere over there is my old Donny Hunt JS3 that I put the serial number 1 plate on.
The Flying V Korina colored one I bought at New Jersey Guitar and Bass center for $800.00. The JS3 Chrome boy was donated from Mike Shimada in Japan.
I am not sure if anyone is taking care of them anymore like I did.

They looked like they are being neglected when I played them! But thanks for the info. Thats amazing how they never saved them from the start. I guess you'd need some decent space to keep one of each! |

Thanks for clearing it up Jim, but isn't the chrome boy a JS10th not an original JS3? |

He might be talking about another guitar because he mentioned that they were rotated at times and there are more of them. |

The JS3 was a Donny that was in my office over there, It probably still is locked in there, They probably don't know its there, Its worth about $7000
