Hello, I am the owner of an Ibanez AS120. I have had it for a couple of years now, but know little about it. It was passed to me by a dear friend. I have pictures of the body, headstock and serial badge posted at the following links: http://www.lennyonbass.com/ibanez/as120-body.jpg http://www.lennyonbass.com/ibanez/as120-headstock.jpg http://www.lennyonbass.com/ibanez/as120-serial.jpg Could you please tell me a bit about the guitar. IE, year, origin (Korea, I know), components, woods...? Thanks so much for any assistance! Regards, Lenny |

Thanks so much for the info. To answer your question: There are no markings on the back of the headstock. The only markings I can see are on the sticker inside the body. Does this affect the info you already given? Regards, Lenny |

Yes it is a Korean AS120 made in 1987. There is no problem with teh serial number in the Sound hole, they just did this on some Jazz models. |

Thanks Jim. Not to dispute or sound skeptical, but JohnS indicated 1997 and you indicated 1987. That's a pretty big discrepancy. Could either of those have been a typo? Which one should I go with? Thanks again for any assistance! Lenny |

Lenny: I think Jim hit the wrong key. You can tell from the headstock shape that it's a '97. Besides, I don't believe they made an AS120 in the late 80s. |
