Here is my SR-8100 (made in 1997) Body is made of Walnut, with AAAA Maple wings, wenge/bubinga neck, wenge fretboard. Bartolini TCT 3 bands preamp (with a mini-switch as mid-frequency selector), Bartolini BC4C PUPs, monorail bridge with D-Tuner, Gotoh machine heads. It has a rather "dark" sound, with lot of growl when the mid are boosted (the closest sounding bass would be an MTD, probably because of the Bartolini PUPs and electronic, and the wenge neck). It's my first "real" bass, and I love it. Some pics : Front Closeup Back |

Zoloo~Wow, what a great looking SR! The string spacing appears wider than most SR's I've seen and played. Is that a photo angle or is it unique to your bass? |

The string spacing must be 18 or 19mm (but I never mesured it). |
