i consider myself a connoisseur of the Musician Series, and have never seen a grain like this on a Musician, let alone an 824. Pretty. It almost looks like the roadster bass with the fake brazilian grain. VERY Sharp. Ebay Item #230193483829 |

Glad to help. If you look in the 1979 full-line catalog, they are already showing the MC924's, etc. and all the Musicians' have 24-fret necks. But in the 1979 "Step Ahead" catalog, they show the MC800 and MC900, with the 22-fret necks. I have a natural MC900 and love it. The MC800 also came with two pickups in the MC820 model:
