$2046 as starting bid????? Now these are rare, but.......on the other hand: when simple bolt-on/arched top Ibanez Les Paul copies go for around 700/800 dollar nowadays, it may be a fair price, given the "ultra-rare" stamp you might put on this one. I'll keep an eye on the auction, but I'm afraid at this price it will not sell, or? What's your opinion on that, guys? Where is this "rat-race" of raising prices going to end? By the way: the seller claims the body wood to be korina. Now we all know it isn't, do we? Actually it's ash, sprayed with a yellow teinted clear laquer in order to give it a korina look. Ibanez catalogues allways speak of "Korina finish". Kind greetz, Harry |

It looks to me as if the gibby v bass came out a decade later then the Ibanez. |

Freak: Cool site! So, that would make the Gibby the "lawsuit" model and the Ibanez the "authentic" guitar. |

The price is typical of those Guitar Center run eBay auctions. They seem to overprice everything no matter how crappy it is. |

uh....., I would love to have this one. good for me that the auction is ended or I ha d to sell a lot of other stuff. first he said korina-body but in his description-list below the fotos, he claimed the body as ash. how much would you pay, if it appears on ebay again? what do you think is a fair price? |

I think $800-1000 sounds about right. If I had the cash I would have no problem paying $1000-$1200.V's are my thing though.I have 5 now and that would look really good with them.Plus they don't come up that often in bass. |
