Okay. I bought a bass two years ago which is an Ibanez Ergodyne EDB 350. It is the strangest thing. First of all, the serial number implies it was made in 1970 or something (could be wrong), but if you see a picture of it (which I'm trying to give you guys) it is nothing close to a 70's type bass. I've looked everywhere for my specific bass and nowhere does it turn up. It's like it doesn't exist. Well anyway here's a short despcription while I post some pictures of it: ---Two octave neck, purple colored, one soapbar pickup, 4 string. It says Ibanez Ergodyne on the head and on the back it says: EDB 350 c7084087. Also, there is "ridge" or indentation under the D and G string. This is just to give you guys an idea on what kind of bass it is while I take pictures. What I need is info on the bass like it's "real" manufacturing date, how much would one like this go for, and if it is rare or something, among other things. Please, I've been trying forever to identify my particular model. any help is greatly appreciated. |

Welcome Metalkingtiger, The bass you have was manufactured in the Cort plant in Korea in '97. Ibanez serial numbers are a little hard to follow at times. It is made of a plastic type material called Luthite, which enabled Ibanez to mold them into interesting shapes - some of the later Ergodyne bodies get quite bizarre. I have an EDB400 myself. You can find the '97 catalog pages, price list, and an explanation of the Ibanez dating system at ibanezrules.com. Hope this helps. -Sven |

Thank you so much, you've been great help. I checked the catalog and i saw my bass (finally) but the ones there all have two pickups and four control knobs; no one pickup, three button like mine. What's the reason for this? Sorry to bother. |

Thank you guys for the info. All of this make me even more pleased with my bass (it's awesome); just dissapointed it's not as rare as I thought it would be. |
