Hi Guys, I have created a 70's vibe webpage for the Black Eagle Bass. www.blackeaglebass.com . The idea is to build up a register of the guitars, so far I have info on 3 and 1/2, and hope to get some feel for the productions numbers for the different years etc., although I think they are quite rare. The site was just published today so its early days, however if any members have a Black Eagle and are able to send me an image and the serial number, together with if the guitar has its original hard case, and details of any mods or alteration I will add the info to the register. I am not trying to tred on anyone’s toes here, just very keen on the Black Eagle marque. Hope you guys will support the site. As soon as I can get hold of a bass myself I will put up more info on the site. At the moment I can find very little info on the web, so I think ICW members and others may well eventually find the site useful, when it has more info on it. my e-mail is info@blackeaglebass.com . If anyone has info to contribute please mail me. all thoughts and criticisms welcome, over to you guys........ |

Hi, www.blackeaglebass.com The site is going well, quite a few responses, and one is for sale in Australia. If you own a Black Eagle Bass, please do send a picture plus the serial number, so I can update the register. Any feedback is most welcome. Thanks, |

Nickuk~ You might find a few Black Eagle Bass guys at Harmony Central. Five reviews show up and are very positive. Here's the link: http://www.harmony-central.com/Bass/Data4/Ibanez/Black_Eagle-1.html |

Wow, and it was smashed (and rebuilt) by Nirvana. Hard to say if that's a positive or a negative. |

Hi, Black Eagle site still going well, more examples have been added to the register, and more pics etc promised from owners in various countries. Regarding the recent eBay auction for Krist Novoselic's "Black Eagle", "KRIST NOVOSELIC'S original Black Eagle was donated to the Experience Music Project in Seattle, where it is in display today, The guitar on eBay recently (which failed to make its reserve) was smashed and "reconstructed", the neck is made up and non original and the Eagle pickguard is missing. Still interesting to NIRVANA fans I guess. The Black Eagle is a fantastic instrument and worthy of a re-issue, perhaps along with a new 6 string version for us fans. Thanks for all of your contributions and please keep em coming...... |
