I have a Studio Bass, I believe it's a 79. And it was modified with EMG's, paying $500 for the upgrade back in the mid-80's. I'm a guitarist, not a bass player, but have had this axe in my collection for many years. I am now thinking of selling it, but don't know the exact model or value. This bass is in pristine condition and hasn't been played for many years. It's locked up in my collection. Do you have any suggestions on the best place to post for selling and information on how to find the model and value? Please help. Also, how can I upload a picture of the bass for further model description? |

You can post it on free classified on the bottom of topics page. But remember this is a Ibanez collectors site.If you have an (Ibanez) bass that was made in japan you have a better chance of selling it.If no luck on this site try good old e-bay.Good luck ! |

Nico: The serial number will confirm what year your bass was made. After that, comparing a photo of it to the catalogs from that period should identify the model. So, what's the first few characters? Should be a a letter and 5 digits. We just need the letter and first two digits. Do you have some digital photos you can upload? Read through the info here, to see how to make the pictures small enough for uploading: http://www.ibanezcollectors.com/FAQMain.html |
