It would be nice if somebody could end my search for pickups. These are brown-coated super 88 pickups for my 80´musician bass. |

Hi Patrick, This may or may not be what you're looking for, but Bartolini makes replacements for the MC924: http://www.bartolini.net/site_map.htm Hope this helps. Seth |

I also need replacement super 88 pickup for my bass. Has anyone ever Bartolini's MC 924 replacement pickup? I would be interested in getting a Bartolini replacement if the tone is similar to the original Super 88 pickup. What do they sound like? Are the spec's(ohms) similar to the original Super 88 pickup, etc? |

One thing you might want to consider is going custom. My contact for all this kind of work is Christoph Dolf at www.bassculture.de He'll make them to the exact specifications you want (even make split humbuckers if necessary) in a custom made wooden cover. cb |

I replacing the pickups in my '78 Musician Bass with the Bartolini W4 model. I think they are a replacement for an old thunderbird bass. I'm waiting on the new preamp but once I get them installed I'll let you know how they sound. |
