Author Message Michael (Michael) Posted on Monday, March 24, 2003 - 11:19 am:    i recently puchased an ibanez bass which i belive to be an sr800, it has a clear finish ,bolt on neck, split afr p-pick ups and afr-j pick up, active electronics, it has sdgr on the headstock and on the back it has ser.#f9822820 ,made in japan ,with no model #, can anyone tell me what year it was made and what is the correct model # thanks ! These were also available in Transparent Black finish . There was also a regular SR800 that had a basswood body. The colors on that model were black, artic blue and cherry fudge...that's right, cherry fudge! Hope this helps. Now Cam has to tell us how he came up with Feb, I assume using the first 2, and the production number. What if the month was Oct, Nov or Dec? Would there be ann extra digit? For example: if the number was f9812820 would that be Dec 98 being the 820th unit or Jan 98 the 2820?
