Hello. A couple of years ago I bought my first 4 string bass guitar at a pawn shop here in AZ. I haven't been able to find another one like it, and all the searches I have done come up empty when I type in what looks like the model type or anything. The only information I have is that it says Gio Ibanez on the head, and on the back of the head it says GTR 50. The serial number is I8041543 it says it was made in Indonesia. The main issue I am having is that I want to buy a hardshell case for it, but I am not sure the head will fit. It has a regular body style, but the head almost looks like a Fender head. Go figure. If anyone has any information about this kind of bass guitar, it would be greatly appreciated. I feel somewhat left in the dark here, and this seemed like the best place to ask for help! Thanks in advance, Zia |

Zia: This info comes from Cameron Berthold of Australis Music (the Ibanez distributors in Australia): The TR50 bass series was around from 1996 till the end of 1998 when it was discontinued. They are a Agathis body with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and P bass style Powersound pickup and a Ibanez Standard 4 chrome bridge. They were available in Black, Metallic Green and Jewel Blue. The case to suit this is a Ibanez W50SR and should be available in the USA. Hope this helps, JohnS |
