Hi Ariblues! Depends: if you want a modern bass that can handle all music styles you play nowadays I'd say: no. If you like the old Ibanez axes and are becoming some kind of collector I'd say yes. See, this bass was made at the end of the sixties (metal logo) and in fact these were the "pre-copies" that Ibanez was so well-known for in the seventies. You can see that they "borrowed" a lot from the Jazzbass configuration, but in fact it was a pretty low-budget and low-quality bass when you compare it to the later "faithfull" copies. I think this bass can hardly keep up with the demands a modern bass player has when it comes to playability, sounds etc. So if you really want a good bass to fullfill your musical needs I would not recommend this bass. I'd leave it to the collectors. Kind greetz, Harry |

Thanks for the answer. Yeah, I was thinking that it looks more like a piece of history than a Players delight. Does it have any value? It is not fully original, one tuner is not original and the white plastic where the knops are is self made. The bridge cover is also missing. I'm not a collector, but I have 15 guitars and two basses |
