hello. I'm considering buying a Cimar Jazz Bass replica. It seems Cimar was a sub-company of Ibanez. The bass is about 30 years old and appears to be in great condition. Does anyone have any info on "Cimar"? is this a good catch, in your opinion? (first post, yay! ) |

Hello. Did you buy the Cimar? It seems that no one replied for months. |

I have a 1983 catalogue distributed by Australis Music. Inside the front cover there are three Cimar guitars pictured, 2075BS, 2077BK and a 2079WH. The 2079WH is a bass guitar. The Cimar electric guitars deliver you simplicity of design and quality of performance. Single coil pickups on 2079 bass guitar create a warm punch bass sound. Those active pickups are mounted on mahogany body for their colourful talents. 2079 Body: Ash or laminate Maho Neck: Maple Fingerboard: Maple Machine Heads: Standard Scale: 34" Pickups: Split Controls: 1 Volume, 1 Tone Bridge: Standard Hardware: Chrome Finishes: BK Black, WH White |
